Benefits of meditating in temples

Temples are spiritually charged environments that deepen focus and inner stillness. Surrounded by devoted practitioners and sacred rituals, one can more easily cultivate mindfulness & compassion.

Buddha's mindful awareness struck me down a tranquil path this evening as I read about right action in The Heart of the Buddha. Thich Nhat Hanh's doctrine communicates the Buddha's divine compassion. He instructs that by focusing on peace and love, we can liberate ourselves from suffering. Another part of my practice this week has been listening to dharma talks on dharmaseed.org. They have 1,000s of talks given by world-renowned bodhisattvas. So next time you are in the mood for a podcast, plant the seeds of dharma. To wind down this evening, I went for a brief walk in a park near my home. Something about nature just calms my soul. Today’s Tibetan mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum, is a reminder to welcome compassion into our daily lives. Simply reading it before bedtime or after waking up can deepen your happiness. Thank you for practicing with Certified Mindfulness today. We study all forms of Buddhism so you can feel enlightened.  Namaste.
